Ouh... A wedding post! Said wedding, is coming up quite fast! Pretty much everything crucial is already planned, but I feel like February will be a whirlwind of last minute loose ends to tie.. Still, we're looking forward to it more and more each day!
But first things first... Here's an image I made for another Damask & Dentelle Wedding Guide. This was super fun to work on (recognize the colors?), the direction it took was right up my alley-tastes, and I get to work with such an amazing team. :)

Now.. moving on the the wedding, something I got really exited about was, the flowers.. I have always had a weakness for anything fresh flower, either growing in flower beds, backyards, bought at the market to have around the house... I just love flowers, from the bottom of my heart. So, yeah, I was exited about this part.
I got to meet Anaïs, from Les Petites Excuses (she is downright adorable) and she talked me through what possible for my in the middle of winter on a budget small wedding. I dreamt of peonies, everywhere... but they are not in season in March, so she recommended renoncules instead.. seriously, prettiest flower on earth. Also, unconventional choice, double carnations. She never looked at me weird when I said I disliked this and that about traditional weddings.. and I basically feel super confident in the fact that she will make my wedding look purdy.
There is so much to think about... no wonder people hire wedding planners. But at least, fussing about flowers was pretty fun. Guillaume and I came up with a really nice idea for the table center pieces, but i'm not spoiling. ;)

It is complicated to plan a wedding. Typically the woman does all the work since the man is always out working hard to pay for the wedding bills. But I do not want to hire a wedding planner. I want to be hands on because I want everything to be what my fiance and I want it to be, from the choice of colors, to the venue. The venue is always important because we want to make it happen in the most unforgettable place for us.
Hi Eve!
YEah, it is A LOT of work, and sometimes a little overwhelming. But we always tried to bring it back to as simple as possible. Also, it helps a lot to divide (divide and conquere!!) tasks the way that each person is interested. Ex: my boyfriend has a very minimal interest regarding the flowers, then he didn't come with me to the meeting and leaves me 100% decision. But the cake !! he was there. ;) Ex: he didn't mind taking care of collecting alcohol permits and stuff like that, he did it, I could not be more bored about stuff like that..
And yes, all the way in, we try to save money, but also make sure we are doing everything for it to be memorable and very "us". :)
Good luck with your planning, and congratulations!!! :D
Creating a memorable wedding is a great feat indeed, as there are so many things that should be orchestrated into perfection. Something as important the decorations should be tip priority, which is saying a lot since everything is in the same level priority wise. The event coordinator should really be on his or her toes when planning everything out.
Is this Spam? It just seems a little impersonal a message! ;)
